A balanced diet is an important part of any healthy lifestyle. There are many different diets that work for many different people- it is important to find the diet that works well for you. If you are embarking on a new diet that radically changes what and how much you are eating, it is important to discuss your plans with your physician.

To the right are healthy recipes popular with Sanger's Heart of a Woman program.

Recently Sanger Clinic held a Heart Healthy Recipe Contest where employees entered their favorite heart healthy recipes in 4 categories: Breakfast, Appetizer, Entree, Dessert. The panel of judges included Susan Batten, Chef with Johnson & Wales, and Lauren Hatcher, Nutritionist at LiveWell Carolinas! The judges chose one winner and one runner up for each category as well as a overall grand prize winner. The judges evaluated each recipe for flavor, ease of preparation and nutritional content.
