INTRODUCTION:
New technologies and advances in standard methods are changing the way patients with cardiovascular disease are evaluated and treated. The goal of this educational session is to present useful information about these new tools for patient care.
Target Audience:
Primary care physicians. physician assistants, nurse practitioners,
and other health care workers in Charlotte
and the surrounding regions will be welcome.
Educational Objectives:
Primary care physicians and other health workers who attend this session will be able to:
- Identify patients who may benefit from evaluation for cardiovascular disease.
- Formulate appropriate diagnostic studies and treatment plans for these patients.
- Understand when to refer patients with cardiovascular disease for conventional and new treatments which may improve quality and length of life.
